In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version shall prevail.
These terms govern orders for sworn translation services placed through the juradoc.es website. By placing an order, the client confirms having read and accepted them.
1. Service provider
DOCUTRAD, SAS with a share capital of €1,000, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under No. 106 245 426, with its registered office at 78 avenue des Champs-Élysées, Bureau 326, 75008 Paris (France), trading under the Juradoc brand. Contact: contact@juradoc.es. Full details in the Legal notice.
2. Purpose of the service
The service consists of the sworn translation of the document provided by the client. When the translation is intended for the Spanish authorities, it is carried out by a sworn translator-interpreter appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and bears their certification, signature and stamp. When the document is intended for another country, it is signed by a translator authorised by the competent authority of that country.
Standard delivery is an electronically signed PDF file. Since 2020 the Ministry's Language Interpretation Office (Oficina de Interpretación de Lenguas) has accepted the qualified electronic signature of sworn translators. Postal delivery of a paper copy is an optional service that must be added to the order.
The provider plays no part in the decision of the receiving body and does not guarantee acceptance of the document where this depends on requirements unrelated to the translation, such as legalisation, the apostille or the validity of the original.
3. Order
The client chooses the document, states the source and target languages, uploads the file and confirms the order. The contract is concluded upon the order confirmation sent by email. If the file is illegible or the number of pages does not match what was stated, the provider will contact the client before starting work.
4. Prices
The applicable prices are those shown on the page of each service at the time of the order, in euros and including taxes. The billing unit is the page, meaning each written side of the document, including stamps, endorsements and the apostille. Optional services, such as postal delivery, are charged separately.
5. Payment
Payment is made when the order is placed, using the methods offered on the checkout page. Work begins once payment has been confirmed. The invoice is issued automatically and can be requested at any time from contact@juradoc.es.
6. Delivery time
The delivery time is communicated to the client before work begins and depends on the number of pages, the language pair and the availability of an authorised sworn translator. It runs from confirmation of payment and receipt of a legible and complete document.
7. Right of withdrawal
As a general rule, consumers have fourteen (14) calendar days to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason, in accordance with Article 102 of the consolidated text of the Spanish General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007).
However, a sworn translation is a service made to measure for the client's specific document. Consequently:
- if the client expressly requests that the service begin before the withdrawal period expires and acknowledges that this right will be lost once the service has been fully performed, the exception in Article 103(a) of the said consolidated text applies;
- as this is a clearly personalised service, the exception in Article 103(c) also applies.
As long as the translator has not started work, the order can be cancelled and is refunded in full. To withdraw, simply notify contact@juradoc.es.
8. Client obligations
The client must provide a complete and legible document, state the exact spelling of proper names as shown on their identity document and indicate the receiving body. Corrections resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client may be charged again.
9. Complaints and lack of conformity
The client has fourteen (14) days from delivery to report any transcription error, omission or formatting defect attributable to the provider. Such corrections are made free of charge and as quickly as possible. This is without prejudice to the legal guarantee of conformity provided for in consumer law.
10. Liability
The provider's liability is limited to the proper performance of the translation ordered. It is not liable for losses resulting from late submission for reasons attributable to the client, from the lack of an apostille or legalisation of the original, or from the admission criteria of any body. Nothing in this clause excludes any liability that the law mandatorily imposes towards consumers.
11. Confidentiality and personal data
Documents are handled confidentially and are accessed only by the staff who need them and by the sworn translator in charge of the file, who is bound by professional secrecy. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy.
12. Force majeure
Inability to provide the service due to force majeure shall not be considered a breach. In such a case the client will be informed and, if the delay is incompatible with their procedure, may cancel the order and obtain a refund.
13. Applicable law and complaints
Consumers habitually resident in Spain retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of Spanish law (Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation). Complaints may be sent to contact@juradoc.es, to the consumer services of the relevant autonomous community or to the Consumer Arbitration System (Sistema Arbitral de Consumo). The European online dispute resolution platform ceased operating on 20 July 2025.
